Meet The Founder

 

One thing I know about being a single mother, business owner and working professional is, your job is never done. You come from work just to go to work. Nevertheless, we’re still growing, glowing and showing up for our families the best way we know how. For the nights you’ve cried silently from exhaustion to the days you smile and laugh to keep from being found out. The moments you’re on the brink of breakdown and you take constant breaths to get to the other side of calm. I know you because I am you and I’ve created Luxx Haven Consulting with you in mind.  

 

Hi, I’m Wakisha Cheri, writer, poet, homeowner, founder and operator of Luxx Haven Consulting. Establishing this business was fueled by my desire to help single mothers, parents and working professionals achieve their real estate dreams. As a single mother, prior to purchasing my home, I honestly didn’t think it was possible. In my mind, being a single person with a child and one income with which to operate a household, owning a home seemed so far out of reach. I believed waiting to be married would be in my best interest. I believed a household with two incomes would make homeownership more affordable. I was wrong. You can absolutely become a homeowner as a single person, with the right mindset, income, access to resources to offset the upfront costs and the right team to assist you in navigating the complexities of the process, it is in fact possible.  

 

One of my greatest accomplishments was not only achieving homeownership but achieving homeownership as a single mom.  It was at that moment that I made the decision to position myself to not only help other single mothers, parents and working professionals, to see what was possible for them. But to also equip myself with the knowledge, license, tools and resources to ensure their success.
